Date: 18/08/2021 - 29/09/2021
This training is for professionals interested in bringing MBCT into their lives and their work. The Training includes Modules 1 and 2 and the cognitive-behavioural foundations of the OMC's teacher training pathway. It integrates experiential, didactic, and practical learning. During the course you will experience the main elements of an 8-week MBCT course from the perspective of the participants. You will also practise teaching many of the practices and exercises to each other in pairs or groups, with supervision and guidance form the trainers. Periods of didactic presentation and discussion will provide important theoretical background and opportunities to reflect on personal practice and the development of teaching skills. Satisfactory completion of this training will enable participants to move through to the next stages of the teacher training pathway. This training is suitable for those intending to teach in general population contexts, workplaces, and educational settings, and for healthcare and mental health professionals planning to teach in clinical settings.
Applicants must be willing to commit to continuing professional development and adherence to professional ethical standards after training.
