Day of Practice - Sunday
Date: 26/05/2024
Location: Online

Participating in an extended silent retreat is an invaluable way of deepening the personal practice of mindfulness meditation, and is viewed as an indispensable step to becoming an instructor in mindfulness-based approaches, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). A 7-day residential training retreat is designed to provide clinicians with direct experience of the 8-session programme of MBCT, and to offer opportunities to practise teaching elements of MBCT to one another, with supervision from the instructors and each other. Participants are expected to have some prior knowledge and experience of mindfulness and of cognitive therapy, and to have a serious interest in bringing MBCT into their lives and work.

Support the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation

The Oxford Mindfulness Foundation works to promote good mental health and resilience through mindfulness. To do this, we are actively working to bring the benefits of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy to groups who are currently underrepresented in the mindfulness community. As an independent not-for-profit charity we rely on donations to do this. Please consider adding a donation to support this aspect of our work.
