Mindful Leadership Programme - In collaboration with Kyoto University - Japan
Date: 24/09/2024 - 28/09/2024
Location: Japan

Booking deadline extended – places currently available

The OMF and Kyoto University are collaborating to offer a 5-day in-person event in Japan.  This event is aimed at leaders who would like to explore how mindful behaviours can benefit their leadership skills. Via an introduction to mindfulness (using the Finding Peace in a Frantic World course), this week will offer a mix of mindfulness teaching, leadership and emotional intelligence lectures (from Professor Marc-Henri Deroche - Kyoto University) and exploration of Japanese culture.

The aim of week is to promote awareness of your mind and body through the cultivation of mindful awareness, linking this to the individual and the skills required to holding a leadership position. It is suitable for leaders wishing to enhance their general physical and mental wellbeing.

This programme is for leaders who would like to develop skills to enhance effectiveness and performance including becoming more aware of personal limits of performance, increased transformational and authentic leadership style, increase effective task management, self-care and self-reflection and decrease behaviours that are indicative of avoiding responsibilities and decisions.

in addition, if you are experiencing stress, anxiety, or feel generally 'dissatisfied' with your life, this week could offer you some skills in how better to respond to the 'ups and downs' of everyday living. The programme is not being offered as a treatment for any specific physical or psychological conditions. It is not suitable for people who are currently experiencing very severe mental health problems.
