Personal mentoring is designed for anyone seeking individual support with their mindfulness practice. It offers dedicated time to explore your experience of practice in more depth, whether you are just beginning, returning after time away, or looking to strengthen and sustain a long term practice.
These sessions provide space to reflect on what feels supportive and what feels more challenging, to ask questions, and to explore themes that may not arise so easily in group settings. People often come to personal mentoring seeking support with motivation or routine, gaining clearer understanding of particular practices, or finding realistic and compassionate ways to weave mindfulness into everyday life.
Personal mentoring is typically offered to those who have completed an 8 week course and are looking for support to deepen, sustain, and further understand what has been introduced in class. Occasionally, people may also access personal mentoring to gain a clearer sense of mindfulness before committing to a course.
In this application form, you will be asked to briefly outline your reasons for applying for personal mentoring. This helps us to allocate you to a mentor who is best suited to support you.
Once your application is received, it will be reviewed and you will be allocated a mentor, who will then contact you to arrange your first session. We initially offer three sessions. The first session is primarily a space for information sharing, where you and your mentor explore your current practice, any challenges you are experiencing, and what you would most like support with. The remaining two sessions focus on further exploration and discussion of the areas you have identified. If you later decide that additional sessions would be helpful, these can be arranged.
For those who have not completed an 8 week course, we ask that you book a single personal information session.
