Deeper Mindfulness: Exploring feeling tone frame by frame

The aim of this course is to promote awareness of your mind and body through the cultivation of mindful awareness. It is suitable for people wishing to enhance their general physical and mental wellbeing. If you are experiencing stress, anxiety, recurrent depression or feel generally 'dissatisfied' with your life, this course could offer you some skills in how better to respond to the 'ups and downs' of everyday living. The programme is not being offered as a treatment for any specific physical or psychological conditions. It is not suitable for people who are currently experiencing very severe problems in these areas.

Please note: This course consists of 8 weekly sessions (each 2 hours long). It is important to attend all sessions of the course as scheduled below, as it is not possible to make up sessions with another course group.

Mondays: 19/10, 26/10, 02/11, 09/11, 16/11, 23/11, 30/11, 07/12 at 10:00-12:00 UK Time

Please keep the reserve date of 14/12 (10:00-12:00 UK Time) available as well in case a session of the course needs to be rescheduled.

Health and Well-being

Mindfulness courses are generally suitable for most people. However, as part of our ethical responsibilities and duty of care, we need to know about any circumstances that might affect whether a course is appropriate for you at this time, or whether additional support or adjustments may be helpful.

current or recent significant depression or other mental health difficulties

a history of psychosis or a recent manic or hypomanic episode

current psychiatric or psychological treatment, talking therapy or medication

recent self-harm or a previous suicide attempt

a traumatic experience that is currently affecting you

a recent bereavement or significant life change

current use of alcohol or drugs to manage stress or distress

a physical health condition that may be relevant to your participation, including Type 1 diabetes

any other circumstances that are currently placing you under significant stress or that you feel may affect your participation in the course.

any accessibility, sensory, communication or learning needs that may affect your participation, or for which support or adjustments would be helpful, for example, needs relating to hearing, vision, reading, concentration, communication or processing information
