Deepening Mindfulness and Mindful Communication training (DMMC) is open to:
Mindfulness teachers: who have already been fully trained to teach 8-week courses via an internationally recognised mindfuness teacher training programme which meets the Good Practice Guidelines or equivalent (https://bamba.org.uk/good-practice-guidelines/). To be able to go on and teach the programme you will need to plan two supervision sessions with a DMMC supervisor in your first DMMC course. When you have fulfilled their supervision requirements you may be registered as a qualified ‘DMMC Teacher’ on https://www.schoolofmindfulcommunication.com/
Other professionals: working in mental health, coaching, teaching, or yoga instruction with a background in mindfulness (at least one year of regular mindfulness practice) or/and meditation facilitators who want to expand their teaching repertoire. You will be able to integrate the techniques of mindful communication, meditation, and body awareness into your professional practice as a coach, therapist, or yoga instructor (but not teach the programme). You will not be able to teach the course to generic groups as a follow-up programme. Supervision is not required for listing as a ‘Professional working with DMMC’ though this is recommended https://www.schoolofmindfulcommunication.com/
Provided that you meet the above criteria, you do not need to have attended the Deepening Mindfulness & Mindful Communication course 6-session course beforehand, on the basis that you have a regular mindfulness practice and have followed a mindfulness-based programme before, e.g. an MBSR/MBCT/Breathworks course.
